Join me at Wedding Party this weekend

I love wedding parties. I have very fond memories of dancing with my parents and grandparents and cousins at many a wedding party. Join me this Saturday for a different kind of wedding party: an awesome group art exhibit curated by Madeleine Fia Matsson. There will be art, music, intergenerational gathering, and (I hope!) dancing. It will also be around the 100th day of my new baby’s life so I will be celebrating that.

With contributions from more than 30 artists, Wedding Party is a celebration of life, love, and devotion to the trade — and one another as image-makers. In uncertain times like these, visual expression remains one of the few enduring freedoms—untouchable, essential, and deeply human.
This exhibition brings together a vibrant constellation of works: drawings, paintings, ceramics, cut paper, sculpture, mixed media, found objects, video, and live music. The artists span generations—from seasoned professionals to a tiny tot—because this impulse runs in our blood. We are born with it, and like any meaningful relationship, it must be nurtured with care and intention.
We invite you to join us in honoring this creative communion. Making art brings us closer to whatever divine force may exist, and this gathering is a joyful embrace of that sacred power. BYOB.
